One of the things you reminded me of was in school I did ask alot of questions. The other kids didn't like it, but some would thank me because they were just afraid to ask. Weird. I think we are over diagnosing our children today. It would be a weird world if we all thought exactly the same.

Hey Dirty Penguin; I am glad that you posted that; Our son has been diagnosed with PDD-NOS and we are just now sort of coming to terms with and maybe understanding him a little bit more.

Oddly enough, there is a lot of his behaviour that I saw in myself as a child;

Physically speaking, the only medical thing they can point to is a rare genetic disorder known as chromosome 18 p-. I haven't had myself tested on that, but it really wouldn't matter to me that much
Cool blog. My five year old is autistic and I think society should adapt to our children instead of making them adapt to society.
That is a good post. It's great to hear things from your perspective.

This is a wonderful post and great perspective. My six year old Junior is autistic and my 9 year old Noddy is well....hard to put a lable on . I have heard PDD-NOS, high functioning autistic, ADD and sensory integration disorder. So who knows really? I love all three of my kids and that is what matters most. We think they are perfect. Go figure?

I have ADHD. I can relate to a lot of what your saying.
I spend my life not feeling people always understand me. I sometimes get confused with directions too. Especially when it comes with directions that come with lef and right as well as North, South, East and West.
